Shin opened in 2010 is one of the best cake shops in Katano. The pastry chef, Mr. Shinji Nomura, makes a variety of fantastic cakes by his hand. Once getting in the shop, you must feel as if having opened the door of a candy house.
Baumkuchen, which is the bestselling cake in Shin, uses local haney produced by Ibaraki Yohoen. Ms. Nozomi Nomura, who is the chef’s wife, says that many customers purchase it as a gift. Of course, it’s hand-made.
Mr. & Ms. Nomura say ” we wish Shin is always loved by every customer. Hence, we put not complicate but understandable names on new cakes fron the view of customer first”.
Shin also produces original cakes for birthday and other special events.
